This may seem like a weird concept. But many psychologists, mystics, scholars and teachers believe that creativity is a direct link to "THE SOURCE". The creator. The never-ending creative spirit that only wants happiness and joy for us. The energy field that is constantly creating and allowing us to feel whole and complete when we too are a part of this process. Whether by planting a garden, creating a new fashion look, drawing , writing and so on ! I hope to share with others my ideas, creativity and spiritual energies . I believe when we share our creativity with each other, we are in a state of perfection. Zen. Harmony. We are feeling our true calling. Not what our Parents told us to feel or be, nor our spouses, nor society. But what our souls truly desire.
I am looking forward to sharing my creativity with others. We are ALL geniuses. We are all beautiful and whole, just as we are. By following our hearts, we are following what the Source intended for us, which is to simply feel good. Feel God! Here's to feeling our true inner goddesses singing! Dancing! Living and Loving life-as intended!

Excuses / Sunday August 1, 2010
I find myself "finding myself" lately .
As a huge Wayne Dyer fan, we watched his PBS special called " Excuses Begone" last night. I too believe that we can find a million excuses to remain in pain, But I also believe that we have the power to free ourselves of pain as well. Ever say to yourself, "I just don't have time" , or "It would take a very long time to accomplish this task", or "I can't afford it", or " I have always been this or that way", or " I can't change it because it's genetic". It really doesn't matter what the desire is, you can use these excuses on just about any subject , from weight loss to finding the job of your dreams, or even feeling better mentally and physically.
So, where do these excuses come from ? Some might say their parents, society, their mate and so on. But the truth is, the excuses come from ME !!! I have been programmed to think in a negative way. The key is: I programmed myself ! I don't do anything that I don't reap some reward from.
Example: Depression. The reward: to check out of "real life".
Crummy job. The reward: I don't have to risk rejection or take on added responsibility.
Feeling bad in general. The reward: Pity from others and an excuse to not participate in life.
So what is the solution ? I can ask myself this simple question. What would my life look like if I couldn't use excuses ? So, I will meditate and visualize myself in the exact situation I really want to be in. I will call on the creative imagination to start removing these negative excuses. I believe that what I put "out there" is what I will get back in return. It's really easy to forget that ! SEE, an excuse !
The conclusion? Don't believe everything you think !
I can re-program my thoughts !
What a wonderful and exciting gift we have and fail to use. The imagination. It is so powerful.
The placebo effect has proven that we have the power within our thoughts to create and fulfill our desires !
Just for Today, I call on the creative inspiration that resides within everything.
I am whole, happy and I attract boundless joy and peace.

Illustration Inspiration / Sunday, July 18, 2010
Where does Inspiration come from ? I believe it comes from everywhere, everyday. If only we are paying attention when it strikes. I believe that artists are dreamers. They see beauty in ordinary objects that most people are "too busy" to notice. In nature, the colors of the sky, which are many, the movement in a leaf as it floats gently about, or is fiercely blown around. The subtle lines and sharp edges in a rosebush and so on.
"Dreamer's" are not lazy, uninspired creatures, but the opposite! Ever try to meditate? Not as simple as one might think. To sit, quietly and allow inspiration to come to us, whether than trying to force a concept from beneath the jumbled thoughts of an ordinary mind is truly an art. These illustrations are a symbol of a higher process of creativity. A thought put onto a medium, created by the divine. Then to be created into a wearable piece of art, which began as a lovely thought in a dreamer's mind and imagination. How divine!
This week, I will take time out of the "ordinary" thoughts that rumble and rage through my mind, and lazily tap into the art of inspiration.

Sitting On The Back Burner!
I have been neglecting Fashion Church. Maybe It's because I called the blog "Church"! I used to always find an excuse to skip real Church. Too tired. Too lazy. Uninspired. But I need to remember this forum is a creative outlet, nothing more, but nothing less.
"Church" or in this case, "Creativity" can be any day, anywhere!
Today, I vow to renew my creative spirit. What will you do to renew today ?
Have a Creative Week,
Peace and Love.......

Ever Notice? / Early Entry For Sunday June 13th
This is an early entry, as I am heading out of town for a few days. If you would like to add something to this blog, please leave me an E-mail, I'd love to share your creative ideas, photos or thoughts to this post!
Did you ever notice that birds don't question their intention?
They automatically seek out the perfect shelter for their babies to be born. Naturally and instinctively.
The sun doesn't wonder when to set. It's automatic. The earth revolves perfectly to grant us this beauty.
Kittens don't worry about when or where to be born.
The Ivy instinctively knows to grow and bend towards the cool shade of a tree or building.
Music never worries if it will be heard. Nor if it will be liked. It is detached from all notions.
Unlike humans.
Who worry and fret over being heard and being beautiful.
Nature is perfect. A divine aspect of purity.
Not wanting, Nor wondering why.
Perfect Beauty and Grace.
A mirror of infinite faith that everything is as it should be.
Right now. No worries of tomorrow, nor guilt of past.
Divine Now.
The storm doesn't fret over when or where to blow. It moves with perfect intention, as if designed with superior knowledge that no matter when or where it goes, it's O.K.
I wonder why, with the "superior" intelligence of humans, that we worry and fret over things which we have no control of ? Why we compare ourselves to others ? Why we fear growing old, looking different, and especially fear dying ? I would hope that it is within our reach to wade through our egos and find that pure intention that resides in something as small as a bug. Something as simple as the wind. I envy the person who has found that peace. The faith that we, as humans, can be at peace with how we look, how much we "have", and learn from each other how to be whole. Without judgment and negativity. Without war and fear. Without needed to "beat" the other for what we think we should have. Ever notice how the answers to these questions are usually so simple, yet so difficult to grasp ?
Ever Notice ?

Suday, June 06,2010 / Choosing a Healthy Path
You, as much as anyone in the
Universe,
Deserve your love and
Respect.
Buddha
I find myself doing for others ahead of myself. I suppose some women don't behave this was, but being "trapped" by another, or held hostage by another's mood, isn't helping anyone, especially me! The young girls of today will hopefully realize that THEY get to choose their own path. No one can choose a happy path for you, for they aren't you! You are a special, unique person with her own desires and dreams, If you settle for someone else's dreams, I believe joy and resentment cannot exist together. What do you believe?

Sunday May 30th / Creativity in Photographs
Happy Sunday! I just watched SNL and Ke$ha was singing a song about love and Christ. I don't really know who she is, but it was cool to see someone singing about their spirituality. My creativity came out this week in photos and here are a few I'd like to share!
Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
